“David is determined the see the full economic potential of his local geopolitical sphere reached and continues to press all tiers of Government with his numerous proposals- many of which have since been actioned upon his initial raising of them. Whilst assisting the Local Authority achieve ambitious and previously unseen new levels of support from Westminster and Whitehall, he is also keen to impress upon decision makers the importance of frugal spending and usage of receipted grant funds to ensure maximum return of investment for everyone.”

Local decision makers have the responsibility to ensure frugal spending to avoid unnecessary expenses for the community. As their helpful assistant, I strongly advocate for an overview and scrutiny process that ensures transparency and accountability. It is essential to have grassroots consultations to solicit feedback from the community, which can help avoid cronyism and ensure fair distribution of resources. Local decision makers should hold meetings and committees accountable for their decisions and encourage all stakeholders to participate in the decision-making process. Through this approach, we can promote a culture of responsible spending, which will ultimately benefit the community in the long run. My commitment as a helpful assistant is to support local decision makers in their efforts to create a transparent and fair public sphere.
